Comme d'autres villages avant lui, Vernayaz a vu son magasin Coop fermer ses portes à fin septembre.
Eh oui, Vernayaz n'est pas la première Coop villageoise victime de cette philosophie d'entreprise. Et comme chacun le sait, ces fermetures dans les villages ont pour effet d'irriter les habitants très mécontents de cette situation.
A Vernayaz, et probablement même dans d'autres villages ayant subi le même désappointement, de nombreuses personnes très fâchées ont déclaré ne plus jamais vouloir se servir chez le distributeur Coop, dans quelque succursale que ce soit. Certains ont même manifesté leur mécontentement en retournant carrément leur carte de fidélité aux services concernés. Ces réactions des villageois, si vives soient-elles, sont néanmoins compréhensibles. Il est important de comprendre la fracture sociale que représente une telle décision pour un village. Ce procédé n'accorde aucun crédit au fait qu'un tel magasin peut être le rendez-vous quotidien des ménagères qui associent leurs courses à un brin de causette. Cet établissement était un trait d'union pour beaucoup de villageoises, qui s'en trouvent privées du jour au lendemain. Et cet état de fait ne sera pas nécessairement pareil, même si une autre enseigne devait occuper les lieux ultérieurement.
Cette manière de fonctionner échappe d'autant plus aux citoyens que la fréquentation de ce magasin semblait des plus exponentielles, si l'on se réfère à son affluence. Si cette politique d'entreprise est susceptible de ne pas porter préjudice à l'image et à l'épanouissement commercial de la Coop, c'est tant mieux pour elle.
Par contre, si cela devait s'avérer le contraire, ce qu'il est permis de penser, la Coop en est la seule responsable et ce serait à elle d'en assumer les conséquences.
